I cannot find Screen Recording

Add it first in Control Center setup. Follow Recording to long screenshot.

I long-press Screen Recording but cannot find Scrollie

If Screen Recording was added to Control Center before Scrollie was installed, Scrollie may not appear in the long-press list. Remove and add Screen Recording again, then retry. If it still does not appear, restart your iPhone.

1. Open Control Center and long-press an empty area to enter edit mode.
2. Remove Screen Recording.
3. Tap Add a Control and add Screen Recording again.
4. Long-press Screen Recording again and check whether Scrollie appears.
5. If Scrollie is still missing, restart your iPhone and try again.

Scrollie appears in the list but I cannot select it

This is an iOS system bug. It can happen if you tap the system Screen Recording button and stop it before the 3 2 1 countdown finishes. Complete one normal system screen recording first, then try again.

1. In Control Center, tap the Screen Recording button directly (do not long-press).
2. Wait until the 3 2 1 countdown finishes and recording actually starts.
3. Stop that system screen recording normally.
4. Go back, long-press Screen Recording, and select Scrollie again.

Recording was not detected

1. Check if Scrollie was selected in Broadcast.
2. Reopen Scrollie and wait a few seconds.
3. Confirm Photo Library permission is enabled.

No notification appears after recording ends

This usually means notification permission is not enabled. Tapping Start Long Screenshot on the home screen will trigger the notification permission request. After notifications are allowed, you should receive the jump-back notification when recording ends.

1. Open the Scrollie home screen.
2. Tap Start Long Screenshot.
3. Allow notifications in the system prompt.
4. Record again and check whether the Recording Finished notification appears.

Export is slow

1. Close heavy background apps.
2. Split one long recording into two parts.

Not clear enough

Broadcast recording on iOS can have lower resolution, so the output may look less sharp. Use the system screen recording flow for clearer results:

1. In Control Center, tap the Screen Recording button directly (do not long-press).
2. After recording ends, the video is saved to Photos automatically.
3. Open Scrollie and select that recording from Photos.
